the wind blows right through you when you're lying level with the treetops...and being alone isn't so hard anymore. perhaps some of us were just meant to walk by ourselves; maybe shells can be beneficial. there's not enough time out there for all of us, is there? could it be that some people were never meant to be understood - and if that's so, then how much can we actually blame people for deviance? we are, after all, human.
funny that no matter how small the desire for companionship gets, it never completely goes away. is it any wonder why there are so many psychologically damaged people in this society? i could blame it on any number of things, from capitalism to humanism to radical conservatism, but doesn't it really stem from the human inclination to find a good thing and choke the life out of it at the expense of everyone and everything around? human ingenuity overcome by greed - the story of our country.
does our culture even have an icon for wisdom? it exists, only in the most unnoticed places. our greatest minds and hearts are ignored, and our biggest egos are elevated.
has anyone else noticed that if you add an apostrophe after the "i" in "imperfect", you have the statement you're making when you point that finger?
